Ifeanyi Ubah berates APGA, Soludo over Primate Ayodele’s prophecy

Politics

Senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has berated the all Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for lampooning Primate Elijah Ayodele.

The party had in a recent press release condemned Ayodele for prophesying that Soludo will fail to get reelected  as governor, and that Senator Ubah would succeed him.

Reacting to the vilification of Ayodele, the media assistant to Senator Ubah, Kamen Chuks has come hard on Soludo and APGA, describing them as having less regard for clergy men and traditional rulers.

The release by Kamen Chuks Ogbonna is below…

We are not surprised; Soludo already has a well-established record of insulting the clergy, the traditional institution, and critical stakeholders in the state_

The recent publication of the Sun newspaper captioned; “APGA Bombs Primate Ayodele, calling him a cash and carry prophet” is synonymous with Gov. Soludo’s established record of throwing caution to the wind while exhibiting careless and obviously fear-induced acts of braggadocio and cluelessness.

Just as was recounted in the biblical story of King Saul when he disobeyed the Lord and the glory departed from him and rested on King David, Gov Soludo has not relented one bit in throwing subtle punches since he got overwhelmed by Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah’s apparently divine endorsement to take Anambra to the height it truly deserves in this present generation.

Since the news of Senator Ubah’s entry into the APC broke, coupled with the powerful, albeit surprising rumoured combo of “a big masquerade”, deputy from the central, Soludo, and his minion’s immediate response was to embark on panic-induced knee-jerk reactions that made Ndi Anambra conclude that indeed, the glory has departed from Gov Soludo and that another has been anointed by God to take over.

Strange actions suddenly became the order of the day by Soludo’s government.

Traditional rulers started getting threatened with suspensions for daring to confer Chieftancy Titles on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah in appreciation of his giant strides in security, especially as a legislator.

The highly revered Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, CFR, lent his voice in condemning this affront on the traditional institution in line with the Igbo adage that an elder does not sit idle at home and a pregnant female goat chokes on its tethers.

People thought he would not dare touch the Obi Of Onitsha, forgetting that he whom the gods want to destroy, they first make mad.

Our Emperor did the unthinkable that sent shockwaves across the state and has gone ahead to carry out several other unthinkables since then.

Governor Soludo banned and dissolved the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council (ASTRC), headed by the Obi of Onitsha. His reason was that the Act establishing it had expired.

Just as he attended a renowned priest’s funeral church service for his late mother and reportedly took the microphone to lambast the mourning family for choosing to throw, what he feels is, an ostentatious ceremony to honour the memory of their departed matriarch.

His anger was allegedly a security report he got that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah had led a powerful delegation the previous night to the wake-keep where he spent several hours at Nkwelle Ezunaka with several attendees declaring their unbridled joy at the prospect of a new Anambra under the Idea Bearer, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, CON.

Since then, several other infractions have taken place and Gov Soludo’s government has now established a penchant for disrespecting all the key institutions of the state from the clergy to the traditional institution down to the poor masses whose wares his lieutenants inhumanly destroy at will using state government agencies as if to punish them for their several public displays of organic joy whenever they accost the Senator at public functions, private visits and suchlike with chants of “incoming”.

Recently, even newspaper vendors were not spared as many of them had their stands destroyed and newspapers confiscated.

Gov Soludo’s Attack dog, Chinedu Obigwe, while lambasting the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele threw caution to the wind by making unfounded and highly blasphemous comments against the man of God whose only sin is that he gave a prophecy about Senator Ubah, a chieftain of the APC, winning the incumbent Governor and performing better if given the ticket of the APC in the forthcoming election in 2025.

If Governor Soludo is not so alienated from the masses as a result of his being surrounded by little men who are afraid to tell the truth to power, he would have known that what the prophet highlighted is already common knowledge on the streets, which means that God, too, has since endorsed it.

The recent show of shame on television where the former governor of the Central Bank and former economic adviser to President Buhari told Ndi Anambra that he paid 50% upfront to an unknown construction company with no previous experience in road construction to construct nine (9) roads and then waited nine (9) extra months after it should have delivered those roads completed to organise a clueless soap opera of an excuse for its now clear failure to fulfill its promise on Okpoko (a major policy thrust of the Soludo administration) shows that indeed the glory has departed from this administration.

Governor Soludo is obviously bereft of ideas on what he needs to do to get the state back on track again as the rainy season gradually sets in for the year and several of the roads that he flagged off are still being experimented upon, by the roadside construction companies that he deliberately awarded the various contracts, with several underhand practices allegedly involved.

APC as the national ruling party knows the right person to give its ticket if it truly wishes to have Anambra in its kitty. The party is also aware of the person who has the mass appeal, capacity, followership, and structures to wrestle power from the apparently fading APGA that has held the state stagnant for several years now.

Conclusively, power belongs to God, and ridiculing men of God for doing that which they are divinely called to do will not confer any advantage on anyone but will rather trigger the wrath of God. We must all respect our ordained men of God even where their prophecies fail to align with our expectations.
