Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure yesterday embarked on an inspection visit to one of the iconic projects being undertaken by Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.
The lawmakers who were led by the chairman of the House committee, Hon. Engr. Emma Nwafor, visited Solution Innovation District, a project which the governor said is being modelled after the Silicon Valley, and expected to be the tech capital of the South East.
Nwafor who represents Orumba South state constituency led other members of the committee to inspect the project.
The lawmakers expressed satisfaction at the level of progress recorded on the site, while noting that the project meets the standard expected.
Nwafor while inspecting the project said: “This is a two-suspended-floor structure awarded by the state government. We are happy that it is gradually taking shape.
“Our observation is that the beams, columns, cement and concrete mixtures mett standard specifications. We are very impressed with the pace and quality of the project,” he said.
The contractor handling the project, Engr. Awolaja Olalekan also briefed the lawmakers on the progress, challenges, and assured timely completion of the project.
