Anambra residents urged to enhance social harmony through community participation

Mr Don Onyenji, Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment in Anambra has called on the citizens to emulate the principle of social relaxation with community spirit that will give sense of oneness.
Onyenji urged the people to develop open mind in accepting innovations that will show case the rich cultural heritage of Anambra while integrating innovative solutions that highlights the state commitment to creativity and modernity.
The commissioner made the call during the unveiling of Anambra Christmas Village 2024 in collaboration with Descendants Fortune Investment Limited in Awka on Friday.
Onyenji commended the Chief Executive Officer of the Descendants Fortune Investment Limited, Mr Ikechukwu Okafor for keying into the principle of “Think Home Philosophy” of Anambra Governor Prof Charles Soludo.
“We appreciate you for joining in the advocacy of “Aku ruo uno” “Think Home Philosophy ”to create a prosperous and smart mega city in line with Soludo’s objectives,we promise to provide enabling environment,” the commissioner said.
Mr Christina Udechukwu, Commissioner for Industry in Anambra while performing the unveiling of the Anambra Christmas Village 2024 ceremony described the idea as one that will promote Economic transformation in the state.
Udechukwu announced the winner of the logo competition, Nzube Victor, whose design will represent the festive event, capturing the essence of the Christmas Village and its focus on people, solutions, and the holiday spirit.
He said that the project will kick started will create an avenue of supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs through festive markets and partnership.
“The project seeks boost economic activity and provides opportunities doe small and medium sized enterprises with the attendance of over five thousand persons everyday
“The Anambra Christmas Village is intended to serve as a one stop market place for both the attendees and the sellers, we urge Anambra people to look out for the village come December 2024 for a rewarding experience,” Udechukwu appealed.
Mr Chinedu Nwoye, the Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor commended the management of Descendant Fortune LTD for the wild creative mind to give a relaxing vibe to the people after hard jobs.
Nwoye said that the Anambra Christmas village 2024 being in place the returning citizens and home base dwellers will have a safe place to enjoy the yuletide season without holidaying outside the state.
Earlier, Okafor, CEO of descendants said that the village is set to be the most enchanting and culturally vibrant holiday celebration in the South Eastern Nigeria designed to capture the essence of Christmas
Okafor said that the village will reflect the unique spirit of Anambra state and it is a month long event that will bring together families, friends and visitors from all walks of life.
He said that people will experience a blend of traditional festivities and innovative attractions that promise to create a lasting memories with a theme “People SOLUtions and the Magic of Christmas.
Okafor said that the goal emphasis community collaborations, creative ingenuity and sustainable practices in line with the administration’s vision of a prosperous secure and environmentally friendly Anambra.
He said that the village will feature a range of activities and attractions that cater to all age groups ,including life performance, cultural showcases, car carnival, festive markets with focus on community engagement amongst others
