Coal City Varsity confers honorary degree on Anambra businessman, philanthropist, Ikenna Okafor

Coal City University, Enugu, on Tuesday conferred an Honorary Degree on the Chief Executive officer of Keves Global Leasing Limited, Ikenna Okafor.
Okafor was honoured for his outstanding achievement in business and contribution to community service.
Speaking during a special convocation organized in his honour, chancellor of the university, Chinedu Ani said that Okafor was supposed to be part of those who were honored on December 3rd 2023 but he couldn’t attend the event.
“And because of what he represents, the senate decided to arrange a special Convocation to confer him with the award of Doctor of Business Administration.
“His achievements and community service merits speak volumes of his character,” Ani said.
He noted that with the award, Okafor has become a member of the alumni of Coal City University and a role model to students of the university.
In his response, Okafor, a graduate of the University of Calabar, who addressed students of the institution said: “I want to urge you to take your destiny in your hands and dare to dream because there is a lot you can offer to your generation.”
He thanked the management of Coal City University for finding him worthy of the award, noting that it marks the beginning of a long fruitful relationship with the university.
