Senator Ifeanyi Ubahhas led a group of influencial Anambra indigenes, under the aegis of Anambra Progressives to arrive Turkey, Instanbul for the maiden edition of the group’s international summit.
The Anambra born senator says the aim of the summit is to show commitment to making Anambra State a global investment hub.
The summit is expected to last for 5-day, and is in line with the vision conceived by Ubah, to make Anambra State a global investment melting pot.
Over 100 members of the Union, are attending the event scheduled to hold between August 14th – 18th, 2021.
The Theme of the maiden International Summit which is: Towards A New Anambra: Fostering Sustainable Economic Development through Global T.I.E.S (Trade, Investment, Education and Security) is aimed at deepening economic ties between Anambra and the globe.
Turkey presently stands out as one of the largest growing economies in the world and serves as a perfect backdrop to learn from their economic and business development model.
The Anambra Progressives International Summit promises to be an enriching and fascinating experience that will open up windows of opportunities, business partnerships and development for our dear State Anambra.
The Anambra Progressives And Development Union, made up of predominantly illustrious sons and daughters of Anambra State both within the country and in the diaspora is convened by Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Pharm. Sam Ubachukwu, Chief Frank Okafor, Chief Sir Tony Okonkwo, Sir Nnamdi Obi, Chief Akai Egwuonwu and other prominent co-conveners.
The association has since gone about the business of triggering the health care and economic development of the State, through their collective efforts in order to deliver those basic amenities in the state that has eluded us in the past.
The union which displayed total confidence and trust in the leadership ability of the convener, Senator Ubah has since started their vital interventions from the health sector, and is set to extend it to other sectors of the state economy.
The International Summit will consist of strategic sessions with the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT) and other investment agencies and Chambers of Commerce in Turkey.
Recall that the Anambra Progressives have built 2 world class hospitals located at the permanent site of Nnamdi Azikiwe teaching hospital, Nnewi and Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka. Presently, they are also constructing another world class hospital in Odoakpu, Onitsha.
The Chief Convener whose belief in the doctrine of aku lue uno, goes beyond mere lip service, being one of the highest employers of labour in the State after the state Government, is of the firm opinion that the state can indeed be better off if it fully taps into its unique human resource potentials, as Anambra boasts of arguably the highest number of illustrious sons and daughters that are leading lights in various sectors of human endeavour across the globe.
Ubah is expected to use the opportunity of the summit to woo the young billionaires to support his bid to become governor, and also.make salient strategies that will help him win the governorship seat of the state on November 6.
