Omoh woman, 479 others win 32′ LED TV, other prizes at First Bank Promo Draw

A woman from Ohoh, a part opf Anambra State regarded as one of the poorest, Mrs Obuteaku Obodoeze has won a 32′ LED television in the FirstBank Promo Drwa held in Awka.

As part of its continuing drive to encourage savings culture among the gene ral public, the unbanked segments in particular, and in line with its reward initiative for its Customer, FirstBank, Nigeria has rewarded 480 customers in the January monthly raffle draw of the FirstBank Savings Bonanza held yesterday in Awka, the Anambra State Capital, with lots of gifts and cash prizes.

The promo which kicked off in September 2014 will run till February 28, 2015 and winners will emerge based on monthly and quarterly draws to be held during the duration of the promo. Gift items to be won include cars, house, theatres, television sets etc among others.

The monthly and quarterly raffle draws in the Savings Promo Bonanza have produced several winners in the past months to include 180 winners of 32-inch LED Televisions, 180 winners of Samssung Galaxy Tab 3, 180 winners of Home Theatre Systems, 180 winners of N50,000 cash prize each and 6 winners of a brand new Hyundai Elantra cars.

Speaking at a media event, Head, Consumer Banking Products, Mrs. Adebimpe Ihekuna said that “The Firstbank Savixngs Promo Bonanza is a platform designed for enhancing savings culture in the nation and encouraging the youths as well as the unbanked to embrace the financial services system.

” It is designed to reward customers for their patronage and loyalty to the brand over the years in keeping up with the Brand’s promise of putting customers first, and the Bank has been changing the life style of average Nigerians with its Saving Promo since 2008″.

She further explained that to qualify for the monthly draws, existing customers need to increase their savings account with N10,000 monthly and allow balance to stay in the account for a minimum of 30 days. Multiples of N10,000 increases on existing account will afford multiple tickets for the monthly draw; thus, increasing the chances of winning.

She said, “New customers who open a savings account with N10,000.00 and allow balance to stay in the account for 30 days also qualify for the monthly draw. Multiples of N10,000.00 fresh deposits by new customers will afford them multiple tickets for the monthly draw”, adding that to qualify for the quarterly draws, new and existing customers are to increase their savings account balance with N20,000.00. Consecutively for 3 months or a bullet minimum of N60,000 unbroken for 3 months.

She said the final draw of the Savings Promo Bonanza comes up in March 2015 and customers are encouraged to participate by increasing their First Bank Saving account balances with a minimum of N10,000.00 or N20,000.00 as often as possible before the next draw to increase their chances of winning.

Also speaking, Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications for First Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney reiterated First Bank’s commitment to her customers’ needs and aspirations and enjoined them to continue to patronize the Bank whilst assuring of the Bank’s drive to continue to churn out innovative and tailored-fit products and services.

She disclosed that in ensuring transparency and credibility of the draws, the process is under the supervision of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and with world class consultants, KPMG Professional Services, to ensure the promo aligns with world best practice.


The team lead, Maxwell Ezenwa in an interview restated that “First Bank values and cherish its customers, it is in appreciation for customers loyalty, assistance and strengthening business relationship with our customers over several years”.
