The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has launched the Renewed Hope Mass Employment Initiative aimed at engaging 93,731 (Ninety-Three Thousand, Seven Hundred and Thirty-One) unskilled and unemployed persons across the country.
The Coordinator of the NDE in Anambra State , Mrs. Chika Ufelle, said on Thursday that the Initiative of the Directorate would provide vocational, agricultural and entrepreneurial skills training with activities in the public works sector using over 30 different skill sets.
According to her, this job creation initiative of the NDE is promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and would provide start-up capital, equipment and working tools to deserving participants at the end of the training, while others would be linked to credit granting institutions to access loans to commence medium or large scale businesses.
The state NDE Coordinator explained that interested persons can log on to www.nde.gov.ng to create an account and register online with a valid email address, Passport Photograph and National Identity Number (NIN) or alternatively, contact the NDE Office at the Federal Secretariat Complex Awka, Anambra State or in their State of residence for assistance to enroll into the programme.
Mrs. Ufelle added that the programme which will commence on October 21, 2024 will last till the 31st of December 2024, while the registration for the programme will end on the 28th of October, 2024.
The body said that successful candidates will be contacted by the NDE Office in their States of residence for deployment to training outlets.
