Ngige clocks 71, Soludo calls him worthy son of Anambra

A former Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige is 71 years old today.

Ngige, a medical doctor, former Governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District was born in 1952.

Celebrating him at 71, the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo,
described him as worthy son of Anambra State whose legacy of steadfast service to the nation and humanity deserved commendation

A statement by the governor’s press secretary, Christian Aburime, reads: “Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has warmly congratulated Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige, CON, (Onwa), on the occasion of his 71st birthday anniversary

“Dr Chris Ngige was the former Governor of Anambra State from May 29, 2003 to March 17, 2006 and was the immediate past Minister of Labour and Productivity and a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

“The Governor described Dr. Ngige as a worthy son of Anambra State whose legacy of steadfast service to the nation and humanity are deserving of commendation

“Governor Soludo also noted that the former Governor’s contributions to the development of Anambra State remain equally commendable

“On behalf of the government and good people of Anambra State, the Governor wishes him long life and good health as he celebrates his 71st birthday.
