APGA Chief debunks alleged Anti Touts’ attack on 7 tricycle drivers

The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has debunked media reports of alleged brutalization of some tricycle operators by the state’s Anti Touts outfit.

The story had it that seven tricycle drivers were brutalized in the circumstance, 11 vehicle s destroyed and three persons hospitalized.

Describing the story as the handiwork of somebody ( name withheld), he described as serial blackmailer, Obigwe said the public should disregard it.

He said the alleged blackmailer would always parade himself as the patron of Awka keke napep riders but he is just a serial blackmailer that would always feed from such of his stock in trade.

Obigwe said,”One thing people must know is that SASA operatives work with those that give them reliable information.

“Before raiding Awka of touts, they gathered intelligent reports from their informants and moved after the touts in company of Keke napep riders that helped in identifying the touts terrorising them.

Obigwe further said,”From the information I got, the touts attacked the SASA operatives and this made them to call for reinforcement.

“The touts that attacked SASA operatives were disappointed as the SASA operatives subdued and arrested them.

“They erroneously thought that if they attack the SASA operatives that they will run away but this did not happen rather what happened was that the SASA operatives called for reinforcement and arrested many of them.

“This made the touts to know that the SASA operatives are not people they can toy with.The mandate of the SASA operatives is not to work only in Onitsha.

“Their area of responsibility is the whole of Anambra State and they are determined to ensure that they get rid of touts from Anambra State.

“If you go to Upper iweka Onitsha today, you will see that the SASA operatives has brought normalcy, security and peace in that environment.

“You can move around Upper iweka freely now without being molested by anybody.

“Thumbs up for the SASA operatives for not compromising on the mandate given to them by Governor Soludo.

“Say no to touting and embrace Governor Soludo administration 1youth 2skill initiative.
