Popular Awka comic personality, Aiza Nwosu has been allegedly shot dead on Sunday evening.
Though the circumstances surrounding his attack were not immediately ascertained, but sources said he was trailed from his home by some men who drove in a tinted glass vehicle, and later attacked him, shooting him dead.
Nwosu is a popular personality in Awka, he doubles as a comedian, DJ, MC and media personality. He presents radio programmes too on local radio stations, and stands as Awka’s most trusted local advertiser.
He can be described as a man-about-town, and always driving his Hillux truck around Awka, blaring loud music and some times advertising products of dishing out announcements.
He is know to have survived death multiple times, including accidents have have claimed lives, making many see him as a cat with nine lives.
He gained popularity in the 1990s, when he built his house and painted in in all black colour. In the 2000s too, he was said to have had his wedding and was conveyed to the church for wedding ceremony in a tipper vehicle.
If confirmed, his death will be a huge blow to many who enjoy his comic acts.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, police authorities in Anambra were yet to confirm any attack on him.
