Anambra State Marveric prophet, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, known as Odumeje has reportedly announced that he would die soon.

A source in his church who spoke on condition of anonymity said Odumeje gave the revelation in his Sunday service at Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Onitsha
Anambra State.

The source said, “We’re all surprised when daddy( Odumeje), announced this to us. We all shouted. Some wept.

“Daddy’s frustration may not be unconnected with the demolition of part of his church recently by the Anambra State Government. But God knows the best. We are praying on this. We don’t want him to leave us now. But will of God will prevail.

According to Wikipedia : Odumeje was born in Imo State, Nigeria into a family of six children – he is the third born child.

He had very limited formal education as he dropped out of school at an early age, and citing “financial constraints” as the root cause.

Prior to becoming a clergyman, he relocated to Anambra State in search of a better life, where he established a business as a struggling leather designer, a profession he would eventually abandon to establish a church.

Odumeje’s claimed methods of healing earned him the title; “The wrestling pastor”.

He had a feud with a former female associate, known as Ada Jesus, who accused him of being a false prophet and a charlatan who stage-managed miracles.

Upon being described as a “money-inclined showmaker” , Odumeje described his detractors as noisemakers.

In March 2022, his church building was identified as one of the houses obstructing drainage channels in Okpoko, Onitsha and a part of the church was marked for demolition.

Odumeje was manhandled by the government officials that came for the demolition exercise as he tried to physically stop them from carrying out the operation.

The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo had pledged to clear the drainage channels in the area to check flooding.

However, Soludo reacting to the incident promised to discipline those that manhandled Odumeje.

The governor also stated that the prophet should be ready to bear the cost of demolition since he was given adequate notice before the exercise was carried out.
