Anambra Central Senator, Dr. Victor Umeh, has launched a four-day multi-million naira training and empowerment workshop focused on modern agricultural production for 500 constituents.
The training, conducted by the Federal College of Agriculture Ishiagu Ebonyi State in collaboration with Skaidon International Limited, kicked off on Tuesday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church Hall Adazi-Nnukwu, in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State.
According to Senator Umeh’s Senior Legislative Aide, Mr. Chijioke Ifekpolugo, the four-day event, which began on Tuesday, 25th March 2025, will conclude on Friday, 28th March 2025.
The training sessions will cover crop production, poultry, fishery, piggery, snail farming, and other areas.
Mr. Ifekpolugo urged participants to attend all sessions promptly to maximize the benefits of the training and access available resources.
He assured them that, beyond the training, they would receive necessary tools and resources to put their new knowledge into practice.
Senator Umeh reaffirmed his commitment to supporting local agriculture and providing sustainable economic opportunities for constituents of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
A participant, Mrs. Monica Chiebonam Onwumesuru from Ezinator Town in Awka South local government area, praised Senator Umeh’s efforts in supporting local agriculture and enhancing economic empowerment in Anambra Central.
She noted that the skills and resources acquired during the training would enable her to create new income sources.
Mrs. Onwumesuru prayed for Senator Umeh’s continued wisdom and success in serving Anambra Central effectively.
