The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, and his wife have described the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a woman of grace, conviction and compassion, whose life of service has touched countless families across the nation.
Soludo stated this in his goodwill message, to commemoration of the birthday of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on Monday.
The governor said: “Today, Anambra State joins millions of Nigerians to celebrate a remarkable woman whose public life has been defined by service.
“As a distinguished former Senator, she brought a strong voice to the National Assembly, advocating for the welfare of women, children and families and using her legislative platform to advance causes that matter to ordinary people.”
The Governor noted that the First Lady has carried the same spirit into her role as the mother of the nation. He said through the Renewed Hope Initiative, she has shown motherly care for Nigerians in every region, reaching out to the vulnerable without regard to ethnicity, religion or political persuasion.
He added that she has made compassion a national conversation and a practical programme of action, recalling with gratitude the First Lady’s recent official visit to Anambra State, during which she flagged off the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East, an intervention aimed at tackling child malnutrition.
“These gestures reflect a leader who invests in people, in their livelihoods, their skills and their future. The people of Anambra are deeply grateful, and the title bestowed on her is a mark of the affection she has earned in our land,” the Governor added.
On the other hand, his wife in a birthday message said: “Today, I celebrate a woman whose leadership continues to remind us that compassion can be a powerful force for change, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.
“On this your birthday, I celebrate your commitment to the wellbeing of women, children, families and vulnerable Nigerians. Your passion for lifting people, creating opportunities and strengthening communities speaks to a heart that understands that leadership is, above all, about selfless service.
“Your recent visit to Anambra and the warmth you extended to our people remain deeply appreciated. Beyond the programmes and interventions, what stood out was your genuine connection with the people and your message that no one should ever be left behind.
“As you mark another year today, may God continue to strengthen you, grant you wisdom and bless you with many more years of good health, grace and fulfilment in service to our nation.
“Happy birthday, Ugoeze Anambra. May your new year be filled with even greater joy, purpose and impact.”
