A young man, name yet-to-be ascertained as of the time of filing this report was caught early in the morning on Saturday vandalizing the popular Peez Supermarket at Aroma junction, Awka, Anambra State .
This was coming some days after unknown thieves broke into nearby Gelly’s restaurant and stole its television.
Several times, street urchins would break and enter offices in Aroma and would take away valuables in such facilities.
Hoodlums had also attacked POS operators at Aroma and made away with huge sums of money from the operators.
Cases of car theft had also been reported at the social centre of Awka.
The B-Division of the Anambra Police Command is just a stone’s throw from the scenes of these crimes.
On Saturday, the hoodlum whose photograph appeared in this story was caught redhanded by passersby at Aroma vandalizing the Peez supermarket.
An eyewitness who narrated the story to our crime correspondent at Aroma said,
“The young man was caught early today Saturday October 28, 2023 morning vandalizing Peez Supermarket, Aroma Awka.
“He was tied to the electric pole with hands at the back. Crime in Aroma axis is becoming something else these days.”
