UNIZIK Alumnus Invents Treatment for Drug Resistant Infections in US

A Young Nigerian, from Anambra State, and an alumnus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has discovered a drug to treat drug resistant infections.

The man, Dr. Ugochukwu Anietostudied Applied Microbiology at UNIZIK, Awka, before moving to the US.

His discovery is a new strain of Pseudomonas named ‘Anieto’ after himself and invented a Novel Antibiotic to treat Drug Resistant Infections called ‘Anietocin’, also after him.

He is currently trending on various media platforms for his latest invention.
