was indicted by a Federal Government Visitation Panel and the subsequent White Paper of 2003, investigations by our correspondent have shown that he has begun dirty games again in the university.

This time, Ezeonu is said to be fighting dirty to become the next Vice Chancellor of the university, a seat that will be vacant by June 4, this year.

As a consequence, Ezeonu is said to be sponsoring frivolous petitions and social media writeups to discredit the giant strides of the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Charles Esimone.

Esimone, according to members of the university community, had within his five- year tenure taken the university to world limelight, making the institution one of the first choice universities amongst higher education aspirants in the country, especially in the South-East region .

However, an impeccable source told our correspondent that Prof Ezeonu would not be the VC of the university because of his bad records.

The source said,” Prof Emeka Ezeonu is not qualified to lead Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka because he was indicted by the Federal Government Visitation Panel and the subsequent White Paper of 2003.

“He is a trouble maker and disruptive petition writer.Today he is doing the same thing: to disrupt the peace of the university by fabricating and publishing false information to destabilize the University.

A report on Ezeonu by the panel sighted by our correspondent described him as a serial troublemaker.

The report read in part, “Governing Council” to act accordingly.
11.2 DR. EMEKA EZEONU
The Panel observed that the above-named staff of the University was involved in almost all controversies within the University.

“He also had the penchant for using most offensive and gutter languages on his fellow staff. He further ensured that all documents that came within his reach were given maximum circulation both within and outside the University.

“The appointment of this staff with the University was terminated by the last Council when Prof. Pita Ejiofor was the Vice-Chancellor only to be re-called by the present Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ilochi Okafor and reinstated by the very same Council that terminated his appointment.

“The damage this staff was commissioned to do in the University by the present administration can better not be imagined.”
The panel therefore recommended that, “Dr. Emeka Ezeonu( as he then was) should be cautioned for his penchant for petition writing which has the capacity to disrupt the peace of the University and cause disaffection both within and outside university community
