Election scuffles: How Ifeanyi Ubah and Co Wanted to Assassinate Me – Obijackson

The President of Nestoil Group and Founder of Obijackson Foundation, Dr. Sir Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi has vowed to bring to book, the perpetrators of the March 28 national assembly electoral violence in Ihiala local government.

Sir Obijackson, it would be recalled, was attacked at a collation center in Ihiala.

Dr. Obiejesi who stated this while addressing a press conference on Tuesday, in his country home Okija, wondered why some desperate politicians wanted to pervert the cause of justice by making sure that the will of the people was diverted to aid their ambition.

“My vehicle was bullet-ridden and my police men that were shot are still in the hospital. That was aimed at taking my life if not that God did intervened at the right time. They went ahead to assassinate my character , castigated just to bring my personality to disrepute as a result of the unguarded comments they have made in the media and the internet respectively. I am not a politician”, he said.

However, he disclosed that he was not deterred from protecting the course of common man, justice and fairplay in his community and the entire local government area even at gun-point.

Dr.Obiejesi, while stressing that he has utmost confidence in the in-coming federal government of APC, who according to him, has zero tolerance to corruption, assured that effectiveness of the Nigerian judiciary will not be in doubt because he has already petitioned the relevant authorities as a result of the attack on him.

On his part, Barr.Ifeanyi Chudy Momah, the APGA candidate for Ihiala federal constituency in the last national assembly elections, wondered why the society has degenerated to the use of absolute crude force to achieve a political ambition.

The APGA candidate further stated that it was rather unfortunate for a sitting member of the Anambra State House of Assembly to have allegedly connived with foreign bodies from Nnewi to cause mayhem on the election day stressing that the lawmaker’s alleged involvement in the crisis portrayed the type of representation he has bequeathed to the people in the last four years .
