As the 2023 general election gathers momentum, the widows in Anambra State, have vowed to curse any body who will stand on the way of Senator Victor Umeh and former governor, Mr Peter Obi.

They declared that nothing will stop Senator Victor Umeh from winning the Central senatorial seat come 2023.

Speaking with The Razor News on Saturday , the leader of the widows in the State , Hon Mrs Hope Nwandu, said those who were sharing one million naira to each Ward in the Central were wasting their money.

She said anybody contesting the election against Umeh, who had joined Labour Party LP, would have him or herself to blame.

“Those selfish people who are contesting against Umeh are just wasting their time. Where have they been, any time election comes, they start sharing money, Wrapper, rice and other things.

“After the election, they won’t answer your calls again. But Umeh has always been there for the down trodden, whether he’s holding any political office or not ” Nwandu said

She said one of the senatorial candidates has started giving out one million naira to each Ward in the Central senatorial zone, adding that it would be exercise in futility.

Umeh, who is the Labour Party LP senatorial Candidate in the Central, had others vying against him.

They are, Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe of the All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Uche Ekwunife of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and Hon. Dozie Nwankwo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA

Umeh, narrowly, lost the APGA ticket to Nwankwo, because of what he called a gang up against him by the leaders of the Party.

He then, got a call from Obi, who’s the Presidential candidate of LP, to realize his senatorial ambition, which the former National Chairman of APGA grabbed with both hands.

According to the leader of the widows, ” the mobilization from our over 3,000 members is on and anybody who thinks he or she has what it takes to win the election, should have us to contend with ” Nwandu said
