The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has urged the public to disregard recent reports suggesting that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has neglected the Aguleri community in Anambra East Local Government Area.
In a statement released on Friday, Obigwe clarified that the comments attributed to former Governor Willie Obiano were, in fact, made by his younger brother, Evaristus Obiano.
According to him, the claims do not reflect the realities on ground.
Obigwe maintained that the Soludo administration has delivered notable developmental projects in Aguleri, including the construction of a new General Hospital in Enugu Otu Aguleri and the near completion of the Enugu Otu Aguleri road.
He also cited the revival of the Otuocha water scheme, aimed at providing clean water to Aguleri and surrounding communities.
On political developments ahead of the November 8th governorship election, Obigwe dismissed fears that recent defections to the opposition party would impact Governor Soludo’s chances, expressing confidence in APGA’s grassroots strength and continued support from the people of Aguleri.
He reiterated that Governor Soludo remains committed to inclusive governance and equitable development across all parts of Anambra State.
The statement read in part,”Evaristus Obiano cooked up lies against Governor Soludo can only fly in his warped imagination and that of Ukachukwu.
“The defection of political conmen and women to APC ahead of the November 8th governorship election will not affect Governor Soludo chances of clinching a well deserved victory in the election.
“We saw more than this in 2021 but still won the election.
“Aguleri is already taken by Governor Soludo and the result that will come out of Aguleri for Soludo on November 8th will clearly prove to Ukachukwu that he was scammed by political conmen and women led by Evaristus Obiano and his cohorts.”
