Wife if the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Nonye Soludo has called on Nigerians to prioritize their mental health as much as they do their physical health.

Mrs Soludo made the call in a message to mark World Mental Health Day, insisting that families must begin to hold open conversations around mental health status and also break the stigma associated with having mental health problem.

She observed that many people carry silent pains they fear to discuss with others for fear of stigmatization, yet to put up smiles that cover the real life issues they face.

She message stated: “Today, as we observe World Mental Health Day, let’s remember, once again, that mental health is just as important as physical health.

“Behind every smile may be a silent struggle, and sometimes, the greatest act of kindness is to listen, show compassion, and remind someone that they are not alone.

“We must also break the stigma surrounding mental health, encourage open conversations, and create a society where seeking help is seen as a sign of strength, not weakness.

“I’m here to remind you that your mental health matters. Your feelings matter. And you do matter,” the wife of the governor said.
