The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Awka Branch, has conferred an Award of Excellence on Barrister Chukwudi Oli, a frontline House of Representatives aspirant for the Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha Federal Constituency of Anambra State.
Oli, who is contesting the seat under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the 2027 general elections, received the recognition at the 5th edition of the Ozo Amanke Okafor Memorial Lecture, held in Awka on Thursday.

It was gathered that the award recognized Oli’s exemplary punctuality, dedication to duty, and outstanding commitment to the timely and effective practice of the legal profession in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He was unanimously recognized by members of the Awka Branch as a strong supporter of the NBA in Nigeria.

In his acceptance speech, the House of Representatives hopeful expressed happiness at being honoured.

He said:“I feel so happy receiving this award from my primary constituency. Law is what I do for a living; it is what I have done all my life. Getting this great recognition from this constituency means a lot to me.

“I have been participating actively in Bar activities across Nigeria. I am a Bar man to the core, and this recognition will spur me to do more for the Association and society at large.”

While urging members of the NBA Awka Branch to continue to uphold justice and promote the rule of law, Barrister Oli stressed the need for legal professionals to take the lead in steering the nation towards unity, progress, and development.

He promised to deploy his legal experience for the growth and development of his constituency, Anambra State, the South-East region, and the country at large if given the opportunity to serve in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja in 2027.

“I have a vision for Anambra State to be a front-runner in implementing progressive reforms across all sectors of human existence in the years ahead.

“I am running this race to contribute my quota to nation-building. Therefore, I am appealing to the good people of Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha Federal Constituency to support my ambition and enable me to demonstrate transparency and accountability in governance,” Oli said.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the NBA Awka Branch, Barrister Nnamdi Raphael Anagor, and the Chairman of the organising committee, Barrister G.U. Moneke, expressed gratitude for Oli’s presence at the event.

They commended his continued support for the less privileged in Anambra and beyond, as well as his competence and dedication to legal practice.
