The Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu was abuzz on August 3rd as dignitaries and guests from far and wide gathered for the traditional marriage ceremony of Chidimma, the first daughter of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Dr. Victor Umeh (Ohamadike Ndigbo), to her husband, Mr. Obinna Ifeanyi.
Although the traditional rites had already been performed in Aguluzigbo, Senator Umeh’s hometown, the ceremony was an opportunity for the formal wine-carrying and entertainment of guests.
In an emotional moment, Senator Umeh and his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh (Osodieme), blessed their daughter and handed her over to Obinna Cyril Ifeanyi, son of Chief Obiora Cyril Ifeanyi (Gburugburu Mbosi) and Lolo Ifeoma Ifeanyi from Mbosi, Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
The ceremony was attended by a plethora of notable guests, including: His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, Former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in 2023, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe (Abia South), Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwaebonyi (Ebonyi North).
