Reacting to the recent cases of violence in the state, Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has appointed a special adviser on community security.
Soludo swore in the new appointee, Prince Kenneth Okwuchukwu Emeakayi on Tuesday at the executive chambers of the Anambra State government house in Awka.
Emeakhayi, a former chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State had until recently held the position of president general of Okija community in Ihiala Local Government Area, and was known to have coordinated security in the area.
Despite Ihiala being a hotbed of insecurity and known to have camps by secessionist elements, Okija has been very peaceful, and this has been attributed to Emeakhayi’s hardwork.
With the recent nomination, he will be charged with the job of coordinating the effectiveness of local security in various communities.
