LG Electoral Law: APGA Chief Dismisses Crisis Rumours in Anambra Assembly

The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has dismissed as fake news, reports of a crisis in the Anambra State House of Assembly over the recent amendment of the Local Government Electoral Law.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Obigwe described the reports as a “fabricated tissue of lies” and urged the public to disregard them.

He stated that the amendment was made with the unanimous support of the majority members of the House of Assembly and that there was no dissenting voice that could affect the decision.

Obigwe accused one Edozie Njoku and his cohorts of using Eneh Victor Chigozie to spread falsehood on social media, aiming to instill fear in the minds of APGA faithful and Anambra people.

He praised the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze, for his experience and commendable leadership, describing him as the best Speaker the Anambra House of Assembly has ever produced.

The APGA chief commended the 8th Assembly members for prioritizing the interest of peace in the state under Governor Soludo’s administration above their personal interests.

He described the newly enacted local government law as commendable and advised the public to it to disregard the “fabricated tissue of lies being spread by those he called evil-minded people.
