The All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA) has described a recent comment by a former Minister of Labour and Employment that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would take over Anambra State in next year’s governorship poll as wishful thinking.

Reacting to Ngige’s outburst, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, said Ngige made the comment just to appease the powers that be in Abuja.

Describing Ngige’s claim as laughable, Obigwe wondered why a party that is not in existence in Anambra would take over the state in 2025, adding that Ngige was on his own.

The APGA media chief said the general public should ignore Ngige’s boastful statement because it would not happen.

Obigwe’s said , “The statement is only an expression of Ngige’s wishful thinking but deep down his heart and with his own personal experience, he knows that what he is saying is impossible.

“He knows very well that APC taking over Anambra in 2025 can be likened to a Camel passing through the eye of a needle.Ngige on his own, tried many times and failed.

“So whatever he is saying now is just to appease the powers that be in Abuja and its nothing more than that.

“It’s truly laughable for Ngige to say that a party that is not in existence in Anambra will take over the State in 2025.

Obigwe averred that in one of Ngige’s recent interviews, he confessed that Governor Soludo was doing well, stressing that the former Minister could not approbate and reprobate at the same time.

Obigwe’s statement further read,”The slogan of one good turn deserves another will envelop the whole Anambra State by that 2025 in a way that even the opposition will see with their two eyes that they cannot stop Governor Soludo 2nd term re election.

“What matters most to Ndi Anambra is that Governor Soludo is doing well in office. Ngige attested to this fact and for him to turn around to say that APC will take over Anambra is tantamount to him saying that they can make impossibility possible of which me and you know that they don’t have such powers.

“As for Ngige saying that by 2025, he will decide his next political move, I will advise him to bow out honourably to avoid being retired politically in a dishonourable way.

“Ngige also confessed that APC Anambra is in disarray and that is to say that he personally used his own hands to identify his party weakness.

“The truth is that there is nobody in Anambra APC as at today that can match Governor Soludo in all ramifications.

“Ngige further said in the same interviews that the era of writing Anambra election results in a hotel room is over.

“With such declaration, I say it boldly that APC will not be able to take over Anambra in 2025.

Continuing, Obigwe said,” No reasonable electorate in Anambra will cast his or her vote for APC in 2025 governorship election because doing that is tantamount to leaving a place of merriment to jump into frying pan.

“APGA will win Alor that is Ngige’s community in the 2025 governorship election and they will win convincingly in the 21 local government area of Anambra State.

“The target of APGA as a party is to clinch a well deserved 21 over 21 victory in that 2025 governorship election and this will definitely come to fruition.”
