Obiano threatens mass burial of unclaimed corpses in mortuaries
The Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, has threatened mass burial of unclaimed corpses in mortuaries in the state.
As a consequence, he has directed families who abandoned their dead loved ones in mortuaries in the state to take them for burial in the next two weeks or the state would give them a mass burial.
A memo in that respect obtained by our correspondent reads:
The Executive Governor of ANAMBRA chief Willie Obiano has directed through his commissioner for local governments and chieftaincy affairs that all the families who have abandoned their dead loved ones in all the mortuaries in ANAMBRA should take them for burial within two weeks as stipulated by the Christian doctrine .the government reiterated that after the 14 days deadline the rest of the bodies will be committed to Mother Earth in a mass grave the Government there advice all the mortuary attendants and morticians to take note-
