Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Youth Reformation, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, mnipr, has hosted a strategic engagement with some young minds and key youth stakeholders to rebuild values, character and aspiration among young people.

Omenugha who was recently reappointed by the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo had said that his appointment was a way to contribute his quota to Soludo’s dream of building a great state.

He had assured to strive hard to ensure that Soludo’s dreams for the state in the area of youth reformation and reorientation, character and values building was achieved.

Less than a week after his appointment, the youth advocate has already commenced work and had held a strategic engagement to rebuild values among youths.

Commenting about the event, Omenugha said: “We have taken a significant step towards rebuilding the values, character, and aspirations of our young people as I hosted the inaugural strategic engagement with some young minds and key youth stakeholders.

“The interactive session provided an opportunity to examine practical action plans for the reformation of Anambra youths in line with the clear mandate of Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, whose vision of a livable and prosperous homeland is anchored on raising responsible, productive, innovative, and value-driven citizens.”

He added that: “Our discussions were frank, insightful, and solution-driven. Together, we examined the challenges confronting our youths, identified opportunities for positive behavioural change, and developed practical strategies to promote integrity, enterprise, patriotism, civic responsibility, productivity, and transformational leadership.

“Youth Reformation is not simply about correcting wrongs; it is about awakening purpose, restoring values, nurturing dreams, and creating an environment where every young person is inspired to become a worthy ambassador of Anambra State.

“This mission cannot be accomplished by government alone. It requires the active partnership of parents, schools, faith-based organisations, traditional institutions, community leaders, the private sector, civil society, the media, and, above all, our young people. Together, we can build a culture where excellence, discipline, innovation, and responsible citizenship become the standard.

“I am encouraged by the passion, sincerity, and commitment demonstrated by everyone who participated. Their contributions will help shape a robust, inclusive, and impactful Youth Reformation Agenda for our dear state. This is only the beginning. More stakeholder engagements will follow as we build a broad-based movement for lasting change.

“This is more than a government programme – it is a movement to redefine mindsets, restore our shared values, and raise a generation that will confidently lead Anambra into a brighter future,” he concluded.
