The Young Progressive Party’s governorship candidate, Paul Chukwuma, has described Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as a “Maximum Emperor” with draconian tendencies.

Chukwuma said Soludo sees himself as an island, someone who knows everything and doesn’t listen to others.

In an interactive session with The RAZOR News Management team at his country home, Chukwuma criticized Soludo’s governance style, citing a heavy tax regime and disregard for citizens’ welfare and rights.

He questioned the relevance of Soludo’s achievements, such as the Government House construction, asking, “Why should the people celebrate a project 98% of them can’t access?

“Does the governor live in the street that he’d spend billions on such an edifice while most people languish in poverty?”

Chukwuma also condemned the Ndi Aka Odo group’s activities, describing them as an unsuitable way to engage youth.

He dismissed allegations of working for Soludo’s interest as “baldderdash,” stating he is in the race to give Soludo a tough contest and win.

“I’m the only person in this race with Soludo, and he knows it. He’s working tirelessly to stop me, but he can’t because the people are with us.”

According to our correspondent, the new Government House comprises at least 37 houses, including residential and office buildings.

Chukwuma emphasized that Soludo’s true nature would be better understood if he is re-elected, suggesting the governor is hiding his true intentions to secure votes for a second term.
