We’ll stop at nothing to build a world class media house –Obiano

Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has said he will stop at nothing to ensure that the state owned broadcasting station, Anambra Broadcasting Service(ABS)is fully equipped to discharge its function.

Obiano stated this during the foundation laying ceremony for the digital studio of the station yesterday at the compound of the station.
He said, “My administration is fully aware of the growing importance of the media in a world that is essentially driven by the hunger-to-know, stimulated by the media and satisfied by the same media.
“We are aware that without a powerful information dissemination organ, the giant strides we have made in building the New Anambra state will not be known.
“Thus, the new ABS Digital Studios we are laying its foundation today is effectively one of the land marks of a new Anambra.
“It is therefore the knowledge of the collective dissatisfaction with the present status of this great heritage that influenced my administration’s strong resolve to overhaul, rebrand, reposition and equip ABS to fulfill its mandate to the government and people of Anambra State.”
The governor said all the equipment to power the station have been purchased and that in the next six weeks, the station will be fully digitalized.
