Comrade Okadigbo who was also the Special Adviser to former Governor Willie Obiano on Agriculture , expressed the hope that when the Governor is elected for a second term in office, investors and more development will be attracted to Achalla which is the headquarters of Awka North Local Government Area.

He used the medium to draw the attention of the Governor to the President General election of the community which was put on hold for no specific reason.

According to him, the entire community is peaceful and without any form of chaos that would warrant the constitution of a caretaker committee in the area instead an ele tion should be conducted to reflect the wishes of the people.

For his part, Deputy Chairman , APGA, Awka North Local Government Area , Mr Emeka Iliemena mentioned some of the roads that were abandoned but completed by Governor Soludo to include Isuaniocha to Achalla, Amansea to Awba Ofemili, Amansea to Ufuma among other steps taken to open up the agrarian local government area.

Mr Iliemena observed that the present administration having conducted Local government election within his first tenure had shown that he came prepared and will remain focused to do more for the grassroots.

Adressing the people shortly after the rally , the Palace Secretary to the Traditional Ruler of Achalla, Barister Patrick Nwora, remarked that as a non partisan citizen ,he has come to agree with the calls for Governor Soludo to go for a second term due to several indicators of good governance on ground.

Barrister Nwora also appealed to the Governor not to heed to any advice of constituting a caretaker committee for the leadership of Achalla as such move will be counter productive especially when the entire people have prepared for the election.

He explained that it was even better to allow for a vacuum to exist rather than making the mistake of appointing an unpopular person to oversee the affairs of the community.

A woman leader Mrs Chinyeaka Obalim and the Chairman Achalla Improvement Union, Idemili branch, Chief Nonso Igwenma while reiterating their total support for Governor Soludo’s agenda come November 8 2025, enjoined the people especially women to utilize the extension of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise and get their Permanent Voter’s Card information updated and ready for the election.

The crowd took the rally round the eight villages that make up Achalla Community while canvassing for total support for Governor Soludo come November 8th election.
