The Non-Teaching Staff Union of Polytechnics (NOTSUP), Federal Polytechnic Ohodo Chapter, Enugu State, has congratulated the Registrar of the institution, Dr. Obini Onochukwu, on his election as Chairman of the Conference of Registrars of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COREG).
In a congratulatory message dated July 29, 2026, and signed by the Chapter Chairman, Comrade Engr. Chidi Ugwoke, the union described Dr. Onochukwu’s emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding leadership, administrative competence and commitment to service.
The union noted that his election by colleagues from across the country was a reflection of the confidence they have in his ability to provide effective leadership for the body.
According to the statement, Dr. Onochukwu has distinguished himself since assuming office as the second substantive Registrar of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo through integrity, professionalism, dedication to due process and a people-centred approach to administration.
NOTSUP further commended his commitment to staff welfare, institutional growth and zero tolerance for mediocrity, saying he has set a high standard for administrative excellence within the institution.
The union described his victory as one that extends beyond personal achievement, stressing that it has brought honour to Federal Polytechnic Ohodo and placed the institution on the national map of policy formulation and decision-making in the polytechnic sector.
It expressed confidence that Dr. Onochukwu’s leadership of COREG would attract goodwill, strategic partnerships, reforms and opportunities that would enhance staff development, infrastructure and the overall advancement of polytechnic education in Nigeria.
Praying for divine guidance, wisdom, strength and good health for the new COREG chairman, the union assured him of its total support and loyalty throughout his tenure.
The statement concluded by wishing Dr. Onochukwu a successful tenure, expressing confidence that he would justify the trust reposed in him by his colleagues nationwide.
