Int’l Day: 饾樇nambra 饾檸peaker describes youth as nation’s backbone

As the world marks this year’s International Youth Day ,the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, *Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze* has described the youth as an important component of the society and back bone of every nation.

In his goodwill message to the youth of the State as they join their counterparts in celebrating their day, Rt.Hon.Udeze enjoined the federal government to map out solid youth empowerment programmes to engage the youth into meaningful ventures.

The Speaker who commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for creating an enabling environment for the youth in the State to showcase their potentials and earn a living,assured that the state legislature would continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at improving the status and well being of the youth of the State.

He expressed satisfaction that Anambra State is leading the nation’s campaign on youth inclusiveness in governance, adding that the one youth two skills programme of the Soludo administration has changed the lives of the youth in the State for the better.

Rt.Hon.Udeze while urging the youth in the state to shun acts capable of debasing their integrity such as political thuggery, rape,kidnapping and other vices, advised them to uphold those virtues that will guarantee them a brighter future.
