A three-time Commissioner in Anambra state during the administration of Governor Willie Obiano, and leading aspirant in the race to represent Awka North and South in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Nwankwo has praised the internal mechanism of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Hon. Nwankwo was speaking when some of his supporters thronged his home, to congratulate him on his clearance by APGA to contest the primaries.

“I have always said that our leaders in APGA are doing a marvellous job. Just like you, my dear supporters and followers, I received the news of my clearance by our party to contest the primaries with great joy. Our party’s internal mechanism is wonderful. Now that we have crossed this stage, we now have to remain focussed, and re-intensify our mobilisation efforts towards winning the primaries, and clinching the party’s ticket”.

Continuing, Hon. Nwankwo said that he was optimistic of victory in the primaries. “I have said it that whoever wins the party’s primaries should be supported by the others. Our politics should be without bitterness. Let us appeal to our delegates based on issues. I present myself to our delegates from Awka North and South Federal Constituency, as the best man for the job. This is based on the evidence of my sterling performances as a 3-term Commissioner in Anambra state, my various empowerment programmes and interventions in the lives of the people of Awka North and South. My national and global network that I will leverage for the continued social-economic development of Awka North and South federal constituency”, Hon. Nwankwo maintained.

“My education and training, including my studies at the Harvard Business School for a leadership course has shaped my understanding of local, national and global issues. I will bring such perspectives to bear at the green chambers if given the opportunity. Our people require a representative that is bold, vocal, learned, courageous. One who has a vivid grasp of the issues. I am that person, and I believe that our delegates know that”, Hon. Nwankwo concluded.
